Ash Shah started his entrepreneurial venture in the field of Plastic Films, Paper and Packaging products in 1994 by establishing a business named “Impex Global, LLC”. The company grew with multiple
locations all over North America and operations in several international markets offering value-added distribution and manufacturing services to a wide range of clients in Food, Beverage, Industrial, Healthcare and Packaging applications.

Mr. Shah’s leadership navigated the company through demanding, yet illustrious times and in the process enabled him to forge valuable relationships with several plastics, chemical and packaging industry leaders worldwide. Under Mr. Shah’s oversight, Impex Global became the most leading and premier manufacturer and distributor of plastic films and packaging products all across North America with 7 distribution locations in the U.S. and Canada thus enabling Impex Global to grow multiple fold, both in terms of sales revenues and EBITDA.

After about 20 years of owning Impex Global, Mr. Shah sold his company to a leading private equity group to pursue other investment opportunities and flexible work schedule to focus on family time.

While looking for other investment opportunities, Mr Shah decided to foray into the Commercial Real Estate Market with his personal success in this new venture and given his leadership skills. Mr Shah has been engaged as an investor and board member in various sectors, such as Industrial, Packaging, Distribution, Technology, Healthcare and Commercial Real Estate. Mr Shah has steered many companies in terms of Recapitalization, Merger & Acquisition or an Exit to a strategic buyer or private equity.

Real Estate Portfolio: Mr Shah is Co-Sponsor, Key Principal or Equity Owner in over 45 properties ranging from Multi Family, Hotels, Industrial, Office Buildings, Assisted Living and Land parcel for housing development. His impressive track record plays a key role in the profitability of his investors and his equity and debt partners. Mr Shah’s Schedule of Real Estate Owned is quite extensive with personal Networth of approx $40 – $50 Million and total assets including about 4,000 Multi-Family units, several hundred acres of Land parcel and over $500 Million in AUM.

Education: Mr. Shah has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics & Economics from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (1989) and a MBA in Global Business is from the prestigious Thunderbird Business School of International Management (1991).

Professional Awards: Amongst the many accolades that he has received – one of them is the prestigious “International Entrepreneur of the Year” award from Indo- American Chamber of Commerce in Houston in 2013 for his business successes.

Nisha Smith

Nisha Smith has over 25 years experience, including working in management roles with DoubleTree Hotel and Citibank, where she was a Vice President. During her tenure with Citibank, Nisha helped develop and coordinate their Non Resident Indian (NRI) Business, and handled new business development and servicing of thousands of customer relationships across the Southern States. In 2011, Nisha became a Consultant for Indian Real Estate Market, providing in depth understanding and awareness to NRIs in North America as well as other countries. In this capacity, Nisha developed long-term relationships with clients by preparing investment strategies that helped them diversify and achieve their financial goals.

Her advice and investment guidance has helped thousands of NRIs, who have successfully invested hundreds of millions in Real Estate properties across India with her. Nisha has now redirected her focus on US Real Estate investments and networks to develop business strategies to enhance market penetration, promote sales and attract individual customers to invest in the lucrative US Market. She now works at Impex Capital Group (ICG) to support the investor platform as Director- Investor Relations.
Nisha resides in Houston, TX and maintains extensive relationships with the larger NRI community in the US as well as Real Estate Developers across US & India.

Amy Tiemann

Amy Tiemann is a commercial real estate investor and developer and President of TM1 Asset
Management.
Amy has a long history in construction – her grandfather started a glass company in 1960, and her father took it over in 1972. Amy spent a lot of time going to job sites with her father. After graduating Purdue, with a degree in Organizational Leadership, Amy made the move to tech and worked in HR. Amy worked for major companies such as Phillips, IBM, and Applied Materials. Suddenly, in 2001, she found herself going through a painful tech downturn, with the burst of the dot-com bubble. After surviving several rounds of layoffs, Amy found herself burned out in
tech and HR. At the time, her husband started a small construction company. Amy realized this was her opportunity to return to a field she knew a lot about, and she was looking for a new challenge.

The new construction company was created in 2003. Over the course of 12 years, she built Tiemann Construction into a national retail construction firm servicing 16 states. In 2010, the company pivoted to include multifamily renovations – along with a real estate investing arm of the business, in 2008. Tiemann Construction was named the multifamily vendor of the year for the Austin and San Antonio market for a large real estate investment association in 2013. Tiemann Construction renovated over 50 multifamily properties in Austin, San Antonio and Bryan/College Station areas.

Amy’s first multifamily investment was in 2010. Amy and her husband became active in multifamily investing and real estate investing, while managing their construction business. By 2015, made the decision to focus on real estate investing, and in 2017 went out on her own. With decades of experience in the real estate industry, Amy brings a well rounded perspective to the company. A graduate in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University, Amy is able to collaborate cross functionally in order to bring an unrivaled service level to her properties.

Arun Roy

Mr. Roy is proud to be an accomplished Entrepreneur. Mr. Roy Co-Founded a privately held company A3H General Partner LLC which now owns & operates over 100 locations across the U.S. of a major fast-food franchise. The operation employs over 2000 employees and is growing strong.

Mr. Roy is a co-sponsor, key principal/ equity owner in over 20 ventures, ranging from multi-family, offices, manufacturing, hospitals, car dealerships, high-tech and commercial land, and restaurants. Mr.
Roy’s track record plays a key role in the profitability of the investor and financial debt partners. He was instrumental in growing A3H Group from the zero to $160 million dollars in annual sales, while growing EBITDA margin each year.

Mr. Roy has deep community ties where he is serves the community through various leadership positions and volunteering on various non-profit projects such as fund raising and construction of an 18,000-sf community center. Mr. Roy was the chairperson of the Bangladesh Association of Houston and has been recognized for his multiple charitable & philanthropic acts in the greater Houston community.
Mr. Roy is a passionate individual who loves his work, his wife, his daughters and most certainly his angelic grandchildren.

Ashish Gupta

Ashish is the owner of Xanadu Equity, LLC. Along with owning The Goddard Schools, Huntington Learning Center and a technology security & compliance firm, Ashish is actively involved in investing, owning and managing multi-family apartments and single family homes portfolios. Prior to his current positions, Ashish was the managing Principal of an IT audit firm – Aporia Solutions and founded a software services and consulting company – Frontier Information Technologies, specializing in development and outsourcing IT projects.

Ashish is passionate about developing assets that make an impact on our elderly community. He is actively involved in multiple assisted living and memory care projects.

Ashish is currently the board member for Cinco Ranch West Commercial Association. In past he has served on the board of ISACA – Houston chapter and ISACA International working committees. Jorge Abreu has been Investing in Real Estate for over 15 years now. He started in small Multifamily properties and eventually working his way up to large 100+ Unit Multifamily properties. Jorge is the CEO of Elevate Commercial Investment Group and JNT Construction. Elevate currently has 2,629 Doors with 448 under contract on the GP side and over 2,400+ doors on the LP side. JNT Construction focuses on helping Multifamily Investors with their Due Diligence & Full renovations. He is based out of Dallas & currently owns properties in Texas, Oklahoma and South Dakota but open to other areas as well. Robby S. Pinnamaneni is an investor and operator with a depth of industry experience focused on operations and manufacturing development. Thomas M. Cohen is currently a Senior Vice President in the San Diego office of Barry Slatt Mortgage. he specializes in the placement of debt and the procurement of equity for commercial real estate projects nationwide. Prior to becoming Senior Vice President at Barry Slatt Mortgage, Cohen co-founded JC CAP, served as Senior Director of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp., and served as a Principal in the Kansas City office of Johnson Capital. Earlier in his career, Cohen was Vice President in GMACCM/Capmark’s Kansas City office.

As a 20+-year veteran of the mortgage banking industry, Cohen has expertise in permanent debt financing for all types of income-producing properties, including multi-family, retail, office, industrial, hospitality, and self storage. Cohen places loans with life insurance companies, conduit lenders and agency lenders, including FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, banks and credit unions. He also specializes in structuring debt for complex transactions.

Cohen serves on the Advisory Board, Endeavor Bank, a San Diego based Community Bank. He also serves as an Advisory Board member of Luxe Art Institute, Encinitas, CA. He is an active member of San Diego’s largest Rotary Club, Club 33 where he currently serves on multiple committees.

A native Houstonian, Tom Schmidt received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/International Politics from the University of Pennsylvania. Tom has been investing in and founding private companies for 17 years. In his law practice, he represents clients in investor, shareholder, and partnership disputes, so he has extensive experience looking at deals and the way they can go wrong. Mr. Schmidt has founded 13 operating businesses and 17 single-purpose entities and currently serves as general counsel and a director of several companies.
